May 6, 2008 is National Teacher Day, a time for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives.

This year's Annual Meeting was held June 30–July 5 in Orlando, Florida. The first two days were devoted to meetings, conferences, and exhibits, followed by the four-day Representative Assembly (RA)—the Association's highest decision-making body. With over 9,000 delegates, the RA is the world's largest democratic deliberative body.
